It's true for RS,but Megane RS F1,is ultimate driving car,although little ugly,but faster than this cars. I just don't get it how stronger car with more bhp and more torque can be slower on track? Just don't get it...It's sad but true. They can never match Renault on track,but with the quality they are 2 steps in front of Renault.And one more thing,I see people here arguing over who is faster? I'll tell you,if your ass get driven by each of these cars,you wouldn't make a difference believe me!

did u notice she presses sport switch in the vid on the nurb that sets the car to race but with traction control on which takes sme power out of it u have to turn both off to get the full power of the vxr which would have made at least 1 second better thats a fact lakki

TRUST ME, thats nothing to brag about, ive had 3 vauxhalls and i was glad to see them go. The astra VXR aint a bad car but its CERTAINLY not better than the ST, if you judge the cars just by power then you are a moron. The astra may have more power but the ford is more fun and easier to play with, btw i have driven both which i imagine you havnt so i do know wat im talking about.

Lol i love this guy, you tell him! how many reviews and VIDEOS^^ have to be done to show the ST is better, how about you drive both and see for yourself, no way id take a crappy vauxhall over a ford. and if you think about it. the vauxhall has more power, why doesnt it trash the ford? BECAUSE they have no idea how to put that power down, the Focus, Megane and Golf GTi, Regardless to power and looks have all been deemed by numermous sources better than the VXR. END OF DISCUSSION.

your so wrong, how can u rant on about a car because it has abit of grunt, its almost exactly the same in performance as the ford except its fucking awful at handling! what a price to pay? if you dont have handling then you've got fuck all and the VXR is no drag car lets be honest! did it accur to you that the ST isn't even the highest model? if in most peoples view the ST is deemed better than the VXR, then what the fuck is the RS guna make of it?! hahaha seriously, the VXR doesnt touch the ST.

your wrong baxinutter.i work for ford and went on a track day for the launch of the new st focus.. with the vxr,st,megane,seat leon and which one came out on top,the st!vxr has to much torque at the wheels and spoils the drive, the hanleing isn't that either.. you have to drive the vxr and the megane like a twat to get it to be any good.which is why these came at the bottom 2.. the st felt, drove much better and has a better resale value when its on the used car market. id have the st all day..

I think that all of those cars are good....I've drive Megane r26 and it's very good car...man...top is at 250km/h(not me drive) Renault-Nissan Group...OPC is the best from opel ever made behind Manta...and Focus is 5cyl engine...soo good top is near R26...maybe little less...So all off those cars are turbos..??? I think that I will buy Honda Integra Type-R!!

there are some fucking twats on here!vx produces more torque and a greater power/weight ratio. it is therefore faster off the mark, and due to low centre of gravity handles well in the bends. the st makes up for the less power and torque in the corners due to a sturdier chassis, but is an undrivable piece of shit in day to day life! vxr ftw!

Sorry I completley disagree. The ST is known for being one of the BEST handling cars, and I don't have a doubt that the VXR has decent handling but Ford is renowned for their brilliant handling. To me it sounds like you haven't driven either.

no i've driven both, i had an st earlier in the year through work. my dad has an astra vxr as his current car. there's no way im being bias at all, just the st is completly undriviable by todays standards of hot hatches. to be honest, i don't see why anybody would choose either of these when the civic type r falls into a similar price range!

The VXR produces more BHP and Torque and is a fraction lighter aswell, i believe, so it'll always win a straight line drag...
...but the ST is just like a moden day XR, cheap and good laugh, but with the RS fast aproaching its launch, i'm sure that'll have far bigger fish to fry than a poxy vauxhall! :D
