| There are NO new features on the MM8. The MM8 is EXACTLY like the MM6. The only difference is one has 61 keys and the other has 88 GHA keys. I wouldn't really say it's "based" on the MM6. It simply IS the MM6 with a weighted keybed. Way overpriced IMO too. |

| I bought it couple weeks ago and i like them a lot. But remember, you have no drawbar configuration, can have leslie effect or not in a voice but cant control its speed. Im thinking about buying an organ clone too, like tokai TX5 or hammond xk1, to get that real organ sound (im a deep purple, THE METERS, fan) cuz i play mostly organ. But for a keyboard that has all the features, voices and cant forget also great price it has, i found the organ sounds to be amazing. |

| This is my second keyboard, and the first one was a cheap learning one. That other comment was an answer to the guy asking about the organ sounds. To the guy who wants to know about the game noises, I havent taken a good look at the synth voices, and dif from more expensive synths you cant create voices and you have a limited capacity to edit the ones you have, but I assume you can find something close to what you want. Im satisfied. |

| And dont get fooled by this Bert guy LOLOL!!! Hes a great salesman, actually even entertaining... he shows what the keyboard has but (obviously) doesnt show or mention (and make you forget you might need) what it doesnt.I suggest to anyone thinking about buying this keyboard to watch Jamming on the Yamaha MM6 , by grondo2001, to see what this keyboard can really do, on the hands of someone incredibly talented(btw he didnt use any organ sound). And remember, you get what youre paying for. cheers |
